Canon EOS 50D Main Camera: Canon EOS 50D

The Canon EOS 50D SLR Digital Camera features an APS-C sized 15.1-megapixel CMOS sensor for superb quality images and the latest DIGIC 4 Image Processor to provide superior color reproduction, and improved ISO capabilities for uncompromised shooting even in the dimmest situations. It also features a 3.0-inch Clear View LCD monitor, supercharged Live View Function with Face Detection Live mode, plus a number of automatic Image Correction settings and HDMI output.

The 50D is incredibly fast thanks to the DIGIC 4 processor - it allows for up to 6.3 fps continuous shooting, in bursts of up to 90 JPEG images. Furthermore, Canon's wide area AF system uses 9 individual cross type sensors, making the EOS 50D particularly suited to wedding photography. The DIGIC 4 processor also delivers 14-bit image processing, for smooth gradation and natural-looking colors - as well as ensuring ultra-fast startup times and near-instant image review after shooting.

Canon EF-S 17-85mm f/4-5.6 IS USM Lens is a lightweight, all-purpose zoom lens that has been designed specifically for digital photography. Ideal for wedding and session photography, the lens features Canon's optical Image Stabilizer technology, which provides up to 3-stop compensation for image blur caused by camera shake and slow shutter speeds. The ring-type USM (Ultra-Sonic Motor) allows for both fast and silent AF, as well as full-time manual focus when in the AF mode.

Canon EOS Rebel XSi Second Camera: Canon EOS Rebel XSi

The Canon EOS Rebel XSi Digital Camera incorporates a number of high-end functions and technology including an improved autofocus sensor, enhanced 14-bit A/D conversion, and an advanced Live View function. Plus the proprietary DIGIC III image processor ensures that the fine details and natural colors of the images are optimally recorded, and also manages the camera's efficient energy consumption and high-speed signal processing performance.

The 12.2 megapixel APS-C size CMOS sensor employs large microlenses over each pixel to reduce noise and enhance sensitivity up to ISO 1600, while the 14-bit Analog-to-Digital (A/D) conversion process means the Rebel XSi camera records up to 16,384 colors per channel and allows the camera to produce images with finer and more accurate gradations of tones and colors. The camera also incorporates the Highlight Tone Priority and High-ISO Noise Reduction functions and the camera is equipped with Canon's Auto Lighting Optimizer technology, which corrects image brightness and contrast automatically to prevent underexposure with backlit scenes.
