The ring-type USM (Ultra-Sonic Motor) allows for both fast and silent AF, as well as full-time manual focus when in the AF mode.

The Canon EOS Rebel XSi Digital Camera incorporates a number of high-end functions and technology including an improved autofocus sensor, enhanced 14-bit A/D conversion, and an advanced Live View function.
